A Generalization of Noncommutative Jordan Algebras*

and x y denotes the product x ‘3~ = my + y.2’. In Section 1 we show that a noncommutative Jordan algebra of characteristic # 2 must satisfy (1). Since power-associative algebras satisfying (1) need not be flexible [5] it follows that the class of power-associative algebras satisfying (1) is strictly larger than the class of noncommutative Jordan algebras. In Section 2 we obtain a structure theo...

A noncommutative generalization of Auslander's last theorem

In 1966 [1], Auslander introduced a class of finitely generated modules having a certain complete resolution by projective modules. Then using these modules, he defined the G-dimension (G ostensibly for Gorenstein) of finitely generated modules. It seems appropriate then to call the modules of G-dimension 0 the Gorenstein projective modules. In [4], Gorenstein projective modules (whether finite...

Drinfeld-Manin Instanton and Its Noncommutative Generalization

The Drinfeld-Manin construction of U(N) instanton is reformulated in the ADHM formulism, which gives explicit general solutions of the ADHM constraints for U(N) (N ≥ 2k− 1) k-instantons. We find that this formulism can be easily generalized to the noncommutative case, where the explicit solutions are as well obtained.

Operator Theory on Noncommutative Varieties

We develop a dilation theory for row contractions T := [T1, . . . , Tn] subject to constraints such as p(T1, . . . , Tn) = 0, p ∈ P , where P is a set of noncommutative polynomials. The model n-tuple is the universal row contraction [B1, . . . , Bn] satisfying the same constraints as T , which turns out to be, in a certain sense, the maximal constrained piece of the n-tuple [S1, . . . , Sn] of ...

Operator Regularization and Noncommutative Chern Simons Theory

1 Abstract We examine noncommutative Chern Simons theory using operator regularization. Both the ζ-function and the η-function are needed to determine one loop effects. The contributions to these functions coming from the two point function is evaluated. The U(N) noncommu-tative model smoothly reduces to the SU(N) commutative model as the noncommutative parameter θ µν vanishes. 1 2 Introduction...
